Meeting today in Sarajevo, the Ambassadors of the Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council formally appointed Ambassador Valentin Inzko as the next High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Steering Board looks forward to working with Ambassador Inzko when he takes up his duties as the High Representative immediately following the PIC Steering Board Political Directors meeting on 26 March.

The OHR will now inform the UN Security Council of the PIC Steering Board’s decision.
