Statement
of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Presidency held its 17th session in the rooms of the School for Electrical Engineering in Lukavica, on April 08, 1997.

The Presidency accepted the report on work of the Papal Visit State Board, submitted by the Board President Neven Tomic.

The Presidency discussed the open issues of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Members of the Governing Board of the Central Bank: Kasim Omicevic, Jure Pelivan and Manojlo Coric attended the part of the session in which the Central Bank was discussed. The Presidency reached agreement on basic solutions for the Law on Central Bank and assigned the members of the Governing Board to prepare a draft of the Law for the upcoming Presidency session on the basis of the agreement reached. The Governing Board will ask the World Bank and IMF their opinion on the Law.

The Presidency discussed the relationship between the Council of Ministers and the Presidency. The Presidency formed a working group composed of: Kasim Trnka, Milan Krizanovic and Nenad Radovic, which will prepare the material which will, on the basis of the Constitutional authorizations define their mutual relationship.

The Presidency accepted the accreditation from Mr. Hannecke Count of Bassewitz, the new Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Ibrahim Ali Taiguri, the Ambassador of the Great Socialist Libyan Arab Jamahiriya in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Both Ambassadors are the extraordinary and authorized Ambassadors with the seat in Sarajevo.
