UN Security Council adopted resolution that approves establishment of the Programme for Monitoring and Assessment of Legal System in BiH. The programme is being carried out upon the initiative from the High Representatives and UN Secretary General, and aims to reform the legal system in BiH.

CoM held a session in Sarajevo. Two out of nine items from the agenda were accorded and those are implementation of the Law on CoM and preparations for the meeting with the Paris Club.

FA Minister Prlic and Civilian Affairs Minister Albijanic, in behalf of CoM took over the responsibility from UN for mine cleansing in BiH. UNSG Special Envoy Rehn was also present at the hand-over ceremony.

RTV BiH Steering Board was officially established today. Dr. Ante Domazet was appointed for the Chairman of the Board at the constitutive session, while Plamenko Custovic is deputy Chairman. Members of the board demanded from HR to propose the moist efficient model of functioning of a public radio-television. Acting General Manager Omersoftic introduced members of the board to successes achieved so far, problems and work of RTV BiH in general. Omersoftic also demanded from the Board to appoint the new General Manager of RTV BiH as late as August 1. HR Westendorp yesterday approved the new Steering Board of RTV BiH, which will monitor the reconstruction process of this network.

WND Consulting Services Company, which liquidates the BiH National Bank, informed general Manager of Institute for Financial Exchange, that BiH National Bank deposits at the institute are being suspended at the end of business day on July 16 1998.

Sarajevo Canton Governor Haracic met with Banja Luka Mayor Umicevic yesterday. One of the main topics at the discussion was two-sided implementation of Sarajevo and Banja Luka declarations on return.

Representatives of all open cities in BiH arrived at Mrkonjic Grad today. Working Subject of three-day seminar, organised by International Independent Bureau for Humanitarian Matters and UNHCR, is the year 1998, the year of return. In this context, main subjects will be open cities project, repatriation, and return in1998.

Herzegovina Neretva Canton Government held a session in Mostar. Main subject of the session was amendments of representative Bender. Out of three proposed one amendment was adopted, and in regard with copyright. The Government did not adopt the Law on Courts. After such results, it is to expect that the last word on this subject, as many times so far, will come from the High Representative.

BiH Constitutional Court publicly announced the decision that denies the demand from Croat representatives of Her/Ner Canton for establishing the constitutionality of the amendment to Constitution of this canton in regard with jurisdiction in the city of Mostar.

Kosovo Albanians established the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo in Pristina today. Kosovo Albanians leader Rugova was elected for the President of the Parliament, but the constitutional session ended with Serbian police intervention, who ordered representatives to leave the session, and whole material was confiscated.

Una/Sana Canton Government experts team commenced exhumations of mass graves in Prijedor area. Seven bodies of killed Bosniaks were exhumed today.
