In order to encourage BiH citizens to take the initiative and start up small businesses, and to emphasise the key role of small and medium sized enterprises in job creation and in BiH's economic development, OHR has produced a TV series "Business on My Street" - 15 five-minute programs on successful small businesses, stories about people who, despite an unfavourable business environment, managed to succeed.

The High Representative, Paddy Ashdown, along with other representatives of the international community and the BiH authorities, laid flowers at the memorial to the victims of the helicopter accident near Fojnica, on the fifth anniversary of the accident. We honour the memory of the twelve who died: Peter Backes, Livio Beccaccio, Andrzej Buler, David Kriskovich, Leah Melnick, Charles Morpeth, William Nesbitt, Marvin Padgett, Thomas Reinhardt, Jurgen Schauf, Georg Stiebler and Gerd Wagner.

Dnevni Avaz awards ceremony for the Avaz Personalities of the Year. In the International category, Manfred Dauster, the head of the OHR Anti-Fraud Department, and Peter Nicholl, the governor of the BiH Central Bank were recipients of the award; in the Domestic category, the Personalities of the Year were film director Danis Tanovic, and heart surgeon Emir Kabil. Speaking at the ceremony, the High Representative, Wolfgang Petritsch, who won the award last year, noted that artists, intellectuals and civic-minded individuals will provide the wellspring of ideas for a prosperous democracy in BiH.
