I want to express my deepest sympathy along with the shock and sorrow of all
members of my Office, to the families and friends of those killed so tragically
in a helicopter crash near Bugojno in central Bosnia today.
The death of such dedicated and selfless servants of the peace process,
serves to remind us all of the countless sacrifices that have been made by so
many foreigners to help this troubled country.
Our thoughts are with the families who now face the terrible prospect of life
without them. They were vibrant, wonderful people and we will miss them
terribly.
We will rededicate ourselves in their memory to the essential work they were
carrying out. With their memory we will push on with greater determination and
resolve to complete the task of implementing the Dayton Peace Agreement.
