The Government of Croatia and the Office of the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina welcome the launch of the new Federation Television on Saturday, 27 October 2001. The Government of Croatia and OHR completely agree that the goal of the new Federation of BiH TV is to ensure effective representation of all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and of their linguistic, cultural and social traditions. The establishment of such a public service is a significant contribution towards creating a self-sustaining Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Accordingly, the Croatian Government has, on its session on 25 October, issued a decision on providing concrete measures of technical assistance to the new Federation of BiH TV.

At the same time, the Government of Croatia and OHR welcome the willingness expressed by Croatian Radio Television (HRT) to ensure the presence of Croat-language programs within Federation TV programming through a donation of programs produced by HRT.
