High Representative Valentin Inzko met yesterday in Sarajevo with the President of the Court of BiH, Meddzida Kreso, and expressed his full support for the Court and its work.
Emphasizing the importance of the Court of BiH as one of the essential institutions of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the High Representative noted that “it has achieved distinction both within the domestic judicial sector and on the international level. I commend the Court for earning the trust of citizens.”
Inzko also highlighted the importance of the independent work of the Court and its judges. Court decisions, whether domestic or international, can only be implemented as they are rendered and should not be used to attack the court and its president.
