Decision imposing the Law on Courts of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and the Law on the Court for the Central Zone of the City of Mostar

In accordance with my authority under Annex 10 of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Article XI of the Conclusions of the Peace Implementation Conference held in Bonn on 10 December 1997, I do hereby

DECIDE

The Law on the Courts of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and the Law on the Court for the Central Zone of the City of Mostar, as hereby attached as an integral part of this Decision, shall enter into force by 3 August 1998 on an interim basis. These Laws shall remain in force until the competent organs of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton have adopted them in due form, without any amendments or conditions attached.

THE LAW ON THE COURT FOR THE CENTRAL ZONE OF THE CITY OF MOSTAR

Article 1

In accordance with Art.27 of the Law on the Courts of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, and taking into account the specificity of the City of Mostar, a Central Zone Court is hereby established for the Central Zone and the other areas which are directly administered by the organs of the City of Mostar.

Article 2

The seat of the Central Zone Court shall be in the Central Zone of the City of Mostar.

Article 3

If not otherwise provided by this law, all provisions of the Law on the Courts of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton which are applicable to Municipal Courts shall apply equally to the Central Zone Court.

Article 4

The national structure of the Central Zone Court shall reflect the overall national structure of the population in the entire City of Mostar, based on the results of the 1991 census.

Article 5

This law enters into force on 3 August 1998.

Article 6

Without prejudice to its entry into force, this Law shall be published in the Official Gazette of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.
