Message from High Representative, Carl Bildt, Head of the OSCE Amb. Frowick and Commander of IFOR, Admiral Lopez to the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Yesterday was the last day of the election campaign. Tomorrow is the day when all of you have the chance to decide the future of your country.

We urge all of you to approach election day with dignity. To consider your own choice carefully, and to know that your vote is a secret vote. To do everything you can to make certain that election day will be a true day of peace, dignity and democracy for all of Bosnia.

The governments of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federation and the Republika Srpska have co-operated with each other and with us in order to create the best possible conditions for everyone to be able to vote in peace and security. We urge you to support their and our efforts. We will react with determination against any acts of manipulation or provocation.

Tomorrow, the eyes of the world will be on Bosnia and on all of you. This is your day to show your national desire for peace, and your own personal and secret choice for a better future.
