The Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council (PIC) today condemned in the strongest possible terms the bomb attack on the Police Station in Bugojno that took place in the early hours of Sunday morning (27 June). This was not only an attack on the town and citizens of Bugojno, but also on institutions of this country and on our common values.
Expressing their solidarity with the victims and their families, the PIC Steering Board emphasized that extremists must not be allowed to harm the state of BiH. Any attempt to use terror to advance political aims – or any other aim – is completely unacceptable. This despicable act should unite all citizens, political leaders and authorities of BiH in support of the rule of law and in upholding their country’s democratic values.
The Steering board today gave their full support to BiH Law enforcement and security agencies, and expressed full confidence in their capacity to bring the perpetrators of this terrible act of violence to justice.
