The proposed Law on Amendments to the Law Establishing the Company for the Transmission of Electric Power in BiH poses a threat to the ability of Elektroprijenos BiH to secure reliable, long-term electricity transmission and thus also electricity supply in BiH. The OHR therefore calls on the BiH Parliament not to support the law as proposed.
Much needed, previously-agreed, and required investments in the electricity transmission system and the financing of liabilities and operations of Elektroprijenos BiH should take place before allocating any funds held by Elektroprijenos BiH to the shareholders. Elrektroprijenos is a vitally important state level company that is there to serves the best interest of the citizens and the business community in BiH. It is more important than ever that Elektroprijenos BiH is supported by the authorities throughout BiH.
