On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the adoption of the Law on the Indirect Taxation System in Bosnia and Herzegovina, High Representative Valentin Inzko today praised the work of the Indirect Taxation Authority and congratulated all those who, over the last ten years, contributed to the creation and development of an efficient tax revenue system for the whole of the country.
“I commend the work of the Indirect Taxation Authority and its Governing Board in support of overall macroeconomic stability and fiscal sustainability in BiH and its single economic space”, the High Representative said.
The adoption of the Law on the Indirect Taxation System by the BiH Parliamentary Assembly on 29 December 2003 established the institutional and organizational basis for a single indirect taxation system in BiH. It paved the way for a fair and transparent revenue system designed to eliminate corruption and unfair competition in the economy and fiscal stability.
