High Representative Appoints New Head of OHR Mostar (South)

The High Representative, Wolfgang Petritsch, has appointed Mr. Jean-Pierre Berçot as Deputy High Representative and Head of the OHR Mostar Office. Mr. Berçot was born in Vietnam (Hano?) in 1947. He is married and has two adult children.

HR accepts CRA Chief Executive’s resignation

The High Representative, Wolfgang Petritsch, on Monday accepted the resignation of the Chief Executive Officer of the Communications Regulatory Agency (CRA), Jerker Torngren, as of the end of the year.

The Office of the High Representative, in conjunction with Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ), on Friday convened the first of a series of seminars for senior officials on the introduction of Value Added Tax (VAT) in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

Streamlining of OHR operations in Central Bosnia Canton

The High Representative, Wolfgang Petritsch, has reviewed and restructured the OHR presence in the Central Bosnia Canton (Canton 6). The High Representative has appointed his Special Envoy for Bugojno, Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje and Prozor-Rama, Ulrich Bucher, as Head of Office for the integrated Central Bosnia Canton OHR Office in Travnik.

RRTF Releases latest Property Law Implementation figures

The Agencies involved in the Property Law Implementation Plan (OHR, OSCE, UNHCR, UNMIBH and CRPC) announced today that, as of the end of October, the overall implementation rate of the property laws has risen to 37% in BiH. 46% of cases have been solved in the Federation, 27% in the Republika Srpska and 33% in Brcko.

The Board of Donors for Demining in Bosnia and Herzegovina met in Sarajevo on 11 December 2001. The Board welcomed the new Ambassadors from the United Kingdom, H.E. Mr. Ian Cliff, the United States of America, H.E. Mr. Clifford Bond, Sweden, H.E. Mr. Anders Mollander and Italy, H.E. Mr. Saba d’Elia, who were attending for the first time.
